    FORM I-824 APPLICATION FOR DUPLICATE APPROVAL NOTICE

    Form I-824 is suited for those who have lost their Form I-797 Approval Notice, who never received the Approval Notice from USCIS or to request further action on a previously approved application or petition.

    If you have lost the Form I-797 Approval Notice, you may file form I-824 Application for a Duplicate Approval Notice. Such duplicate approval notice application does not include requests to replace an EAD or Green Card. Form I-824 exclusively replaces I-797 Approval Notice.

    If you never received the Approval Notice, you may file form I-824 Application for a Duplicate Approval Notice, which is only necessary when the USCIS records show that the Approval Notice was sent to the provided address, but you never received it.

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS FOR FORM I-824

    To apply for a Duplicate Approval Notice, you must be the Applicant or Petitioner of the original Application or Petition.

    All Applications for a Duplicate Approval Notice are made on Form I-824. Processing times generally vary from three to nine months.
